Updates before my finals...

Alrighty just some really random updates from November..hehe..

In about precisely 2 weeks time, ill be graduating from higher diploma@2nd year of my degree..-Yeay-

Therefore, its crazy ass exam weeks coming up. So, God help me man.. *please dont let me get any FnB questions for my practical. P.L.E.A.S.E! Theres a reason why i chose marketing and management major-so that i dont see any fnb stuff coming up. I like learning general things about wines, beer, beverage and stuff but i really dont like them appearing in exam questions.. After all, we did not choose to major in that area! I dont see those who majored into culinary side getting a Rooms question!! =( And i really dont like it when theres 50-50% chance on whether u get a Rooms Division question or a FnB question. Its not fair!! People originally from the Marketing and Management major who got a Rooms question are bound to do better than those from the same major but ended up with a FnB question. grrr... *French people-abit ngong in the head, some wire loose somewhere-prolly left hanging at the top of Eiffel Tower *

Neways, pictures!! pictures!! pictures!!

Teehee!! I got this huge ass milk tea from Wong Kok for FREE cuz it was my birthday!! Basically its teh ais and I super love teh ais man.. Of course, I couldnt finish it la.. It was shared among 6 people and we still had a hard time finishing it.. hehe.. =)


This was the best we could do man, really we tried.

This was my friend, Diana's birthday cake which we celebrated!! Awesome cake aye?? (Comes with an awesome price too-hahaha) The appearance of the cake matches the price but the taste-not so much.. The taste of the icing sugar, OMG like eating plasticine.. Bleargh... Aitellu, this cake got so much attention from the restaurant when we brought it out. haha.. Some other customers from other tables in the restaurant handed a camera to the waiter and asked him to take a picture of the cake and asked the waiter to ask us where we got the cake and all =)haha.. And little kids in the restaurant also came near to have a look at the cake =) So for ur information people, this cake was bought from an online blog(I would have linked up the bakers blog address but the thing is I jotted down here that the taste is abit off-so i scared if the baker terjumpa this blog, her feelings offended..hahaha) Once we got the cake from the bakers house, we opened up the box to have a better look in the car and OMG, once the box was opened, the whiff that came from the cake gave us a headache man.. Can smell the sugar and the butter in it. Imagine how rich the cake was..!


Next, are some cooking activities that I have been up to. I havent made myself a meal in a long time cuz i find cooking ur own meal can be expensive. But anyways, i decided to lately, either to escape my time from studies or too inspired by all the cooking competition shows I have been watching lately-Masterchef, Topchef..haha But do note, i do feel that my cooking is for me only..haha.. For some reason i feel it wont taste good to others who might try it but to me, i love the taste. Weird, i know..hehe..

Ok, I know this dish looks like a garden on a plate. But the thing is, i was feeling bad for not eating veggies the past few days, so i decided to make up for it in this dish..hahaha.
Its pan fried dory fish. Sauce= butter + lemon juice + rosemary
Baked beans=err...from the can..LOL

Ok, another garden dish suitable for a goat. Neways,this is pretty straight forward.
Butterhead lettuce + potatoes + tuna = weird combo?? haha..
How to eat? Wrap the lettuce with the tuna and stuff it in ur mouth..=)
Lasted me for two meals..hehe..

Ok, this is like proudest dish. What happened was, I was too lazy to go out. So i decided to open my fridge, see whats in it and whip up something. Seriously this is like the most original dish ever. I didnt even see any recipes online although im sure many have tried this dish before.
Sauteed Chicken (just seasoned with salt and pepper only)
Sauce: Garlic + Orange Juice + Lemon juice + Orange Zest + Pepper + Rosemary (all simmered and reduced...*ooh..i sound like a pro..ROFL*-but, really=))


Pretty straightforward...
Spaghetti + Prawns + Pregos traditional tomato sauce

Another weird dish from Chef Esther
Fettuccine in Instant Tom Yam soup.. Yea, i know Italian + Thai = Thalian?? hahaha
Soup=Instant Tom Yam paste + Squids + Fish fillets

And this is a facial mask which I made myself. Its a Passion fruit mask.
Pretty easy. Buy some Passion fruit + water and smash them up to make a paste and later strain them =)
