Bonjour Francais!!!

The Emirates A380 double decker flight. Up to today im not sure whether i sat on the lower deck or the upper deck of the plane. But fo' sure the A380 is spacious and super comfy.

This was the view that greeted us on the way to the 'hotel'. First stop was Paris. Stayed at Formula F1. It was ok. Generally clean hostel. hehe.. We got a....get this... graveyard view from our room. HAHAHA...
The hotel lobby has several vending machines which were utmost popular among Taylors students. Haha.. I love their coffee vending machines! Hot chocos from there early in the morning =yummeh~!

So, we wasted no time once we landed in Paris. Checked into the hostel, took a bath and headed straight to the streets. First stop, THE EIFFEL TOWER.. Because it was the first night in Paris, I didnt know what to expect. Big regret when I didnt bring out my thick coat that night.. =( That night was fun. First time taking the metros and stuff. Got lost, asked directions which led to lost in translations..hhaha.. Our French is an epic fail there. Of course we could ask how to get to a place in French but when the Frenchie replies, keywords are all we catch. Haha.. Most of the times it's good enough..>.
So, that night we ended up walking to the tower from the Arch de Triumph because according to a policemen we asked, she said it was just 3 roads away. Mana tau, it was a freaking 40 minutes walk! But hey, thats what i did in France, walk, walk and walk... Anyway, so the tower was beautiful with the lights shimmering. Bought a ticket to go up to the highest floor but ended up only going up to the 2nd highest level cause of time constraints and the number of people at the lift.. I guess we were all tired also that night therefore didnt mind not going up right to the top although we paid for it. The higher the level, the more expensive the ticket is.

The next day was planned for pure sightseeing. We visited the Versailles Palace, Lourve and Notre Dame Cathedral- All the famous hot spots in Paris.
For me, the Lourve was meh~! If ur not an art lover/appreciater, the Lourve is just paintings after paintings and the occasional naked paintings..LOL.. And i think the Mona Lisa is so overated.!! Okay okay, maybe i dont appreciate whatever story there is behind the picture but still, to me its just a weird lady with a werid smile staring at you..HAHA..

Of course the most popular room in the Lourve was the room where Mona Lisa was in. Soooo many people in the room i tell u. Theres even a barricade around the picture so that people couldnt get too near to it. So really, u can only see it from afar. And its also the only picture in the whole building with a glass protector. U can see from the reflection from the picture above the crowd that were all eager to view the Mona Lisa. But hey~! at least now I can tell people that I actually saw the real Mona Lisa~!! Teehee!!

Arc de Triumphe~!

Taken at Le château de Versailles or Palace of Versailles. Super beautiful gardens over there. We were there for 3 hours and yet couldnt not cover the whole area. Loads of walking to do over there. I told myself if i ever visit this place again, I will definately pay 30 euros and hire the buggy. It will be damn worth it. hehe..

This looks exactly like the one in Vietnam.. Heheh...

Next stop, Toulouse!! It was a 6 hour train ride with the TGV from Paris. The train is something like our KLIA Ekspress train though. Haha.. All this while I thought the TGV was like a super speed train cuz TGV (Train Grande Vite-> English: Very Fast Train) and also our French lect use to tell us how 'fast' these trains were. Ala.. tengok x2 their 'fast' not that fast lah.

Anyways, the main reason we headed to Toulouse was to participate in the management game whoc carried marks in our exam (20%). The game was hell but thats a whole other story man..haha.. I was grouped with 4 Malaysians and 4 Frenchies (2 guys, 2 girls). All the Frenchies were Masters students btw. 1 guy i found hot but nearly choked when i found out he was 34. Im so serious he looked max 25!! and the other guy was a botak 40 year old Frenchie who got sent to further his studies by the French government. So yea..=meh=

So anyways, we had two day trips organized by Taylors. We went to Albi and Carcasonne both about an hour away from Toulouse.

At Albi we visited the biggest cathedrals there. It is known as St Cecile cathedral. The only cathedral in the world which is built out of 5 million red bricks. And also, Albi was recently awarded as a UNESCO heritage site. Later, we went for wine tasting at err... Domaine Du Moulin (or sumthing..lol) Too bad most of the grapes were already harvested so no chance for us to go grape picking. There was an extensive meat buffet prepared for us and of course different types of wine for us to taste. Me being the Malaysian that I am didnt care much about the wine and straightaway indulged in the meat buffet which was meant to complement the wine we tasted..LOL.. There were at least 10 different types of meats served from beef, pork, chicken salamis to all types of hams.. Yummeh..haha..

We managed to have a 10 minutes visit to the Albi morning market that day. Interesting of course. All the types of veges that we seldom see. As u can see from the above pic, they made a swan out of the squash by drawing some eyes and noses on it.. LOL..

Lunch at Albi. The restaurant was full and we had to sit outside. omg! The most uncomfortable meal I had ever eaten. Funny thing-i ordered a hot chocolate and 2 minutes later my hot choco wasnt hot nemore =(

We made it all the way to the outskirts of Paris (Serris) on the last day to get to this factory outlet area called La Vallée Village. It was one stop before Paris Disneyland.. Yea, we went that far.. Longchamp were selling like hot cakes here since its all at much much MUCH cheaper prices. The handbags here ar not rejected items or anything but just back dated fashion ie: the oh so common foldable water proof bags..

One funny thing u will see in France are how the ASIANS jam pack Longchamp stores.. Its so funny that wherever we went, we were bound to see one of our batchmates in a Longchamp store. The funniest was in Toulouse where the area that we stayed only had one Longchamp store and the Asians aka us, bought soo many Longchamp bags till the store out of stock.. ><

But according to my Frenchie mates, Longchamp in France is just a regular brand. Nothing exclusive. U wanna talk about exclusivity, and they straight away said Hermes. Hmm.. Funny eh, how we malaysians look up to Longchamp and u'll see those Malaysian girls flashing their Longchamp bags when its just another regular brand in France. But them diff country, diff situations larh.. ><

The picture was taken in La Fayette in Paris. La Fayette reminds me of Harrods in London. One big branded place.. Anyways, look at the freaking queue. This queue was just to go in the store to VIEW the bags.. We havent talked about the queue to PAY for the bags.. So, yeah thats how crazy it is. Sabby, who had a bag to buy manage to cut queue nearly at the front as u would have guessed, we had one of our batch mates who were nearly at the front of the queue and still she took nearly 1 hour despite having a the bag code which she wanted to buy. Conclusion: crazy queues.. ><

And btw, the Louis Vuitton queue.. omg... i fly back to Malaysia and fly back to France and i still wouldnt have gotten into the store to VIEW the bags..LOL.. very exaggerated but u get my drift..!! =)

Well, that concludes my post this time.. Next up, FRENCH FOOD!!! and no, French Fries isnt one of them..haha..

Being 23 and feeling.....well 22!

Yes, i know... Its been super ages since I last updated this blog.. Anyways, I thought i would complete my birthday post first before my next post on France.. =) So yea, it's that time of the year again. Somehow, i wasn't too excited about this birthday coming up. Maybe because I was so preoccupied with things from dissertation, to Internship placement finding, to the France trip and 4 days right after returning from France was me birthday. hehe.. Basically, didn't have the 'feel' lah u know..haha.. So, im 23, feeling just like 22, acting no different from 18..Heheheh... Anyways, i was also actually glad that my birthday celebration was a simple one with the closest friends..=D

Had dinner at Souled Out-my 3rd time there. I still like the place, food and ambience. So yeay-good choice of place =D

Basically, i love Desigual. I got introduced to the brand in France and love love it.. Its funky and unique!! I told some friends in France that I loved the bag and they must have took it as a hint (which i seriously had no intention to) and bought it in France. ( well, i think they bought it in France.. they refuse to tell me where they bought it from =(
So, as i was saying, i loved the brand and the style that I even bought a Desigual bag for myself in France. So, as a result.

So, i was back at work@ Coffee Beans during the semester break. I had to go back. I missed my free morning lattes, I missed the smell of fresh brewed black coffee in the morning although i dislike the taste of black coffee and I missed playing with the coffee machine..LOL..
Maybe i should open a cafe in the future eh? HAHAHAH-seriously though..hmm..

Anyways, thats not the topic for this post. The topic is on guest belongings. I lost count on the number of times where guests leave 'presents' for the staff. Common ones are parking ticket, books, files and shopping bags. Just the other day a guest left behind her shopping bag behind. I took a peek inside her bag and it was all clothes. There was a receipt inside the bag-Holy Moley, the receipt showed RM 759.00!! and she could leave it behind.. 1 hour later and she was back to claim it. And another time a handbag was left behind. Not just any handbag, a Louis Vuitton handbag.. tsk tsk tsk...

I mean yea, people are forgetful at times and i guess its your luck also if the lost item was found or not. Thank goodness in CB, most of the guest's lost items are found as finders keepers do not apply in CB,among staff..haha..

So, there was this incident a couple of days ago at CB. So the behind story is this guy (seriously sissy and i can tell abit of a drama king) lost his yellow book at CB. This book was found by another staff, put it on top of the garbage bin. (All lost items are normally placed there-not to be thrown away but temporary placement) The book was unclaimed for around 40 hours. Therefore, another staff threw the book away. He thought it was garbage.

So 1 and a 1/2 days later sissy guy came to CB. Unfortunately, it was my shift that morning. Mind you, the day that he left his book was my off day. So, i didnt know a thang about the book.
Following is the plus minus convo i had with him: (The ones in bracket and in red was what i wish i could say to him aloud..lol) and in the real convo, oh-my the sissy's engrish, grammar fail.

Sissy: Hi! I left a book here two days ago. It is yellow in colour.
Me: Oh really? Lemme go check.. *goes to dustbin-where all lost and found items are placed* Nope, sorry dont have.
Sissy: HAR?? OMG! DONT HAVE?? HOW CAN??
Me: um.. I dont know. When did u leave it behind?
Sissy: 2 days ago.. I came here to buy coffee then later forgot to take.
Me: Wait. Lemme check around the outlet and ask my other colleagues.

So, i went around the outlet and asked some colleagues. My manager that day didnt know a thang either as she was off as well. Another colleague whispered to me that he thinks he might have thrown it away since it was lying there 2 days already. So, i guess the mystery was solved there and then but i had to put on my poker face and face the guest. And also, i dont blame my colleague for throwing it out if he did. It was unclaimed for 2 days.

Me: Sorry sir. Dont have I checked the whole outlet. Normally lost things are placed in this dustbin but as u can c, *points to dustbin* nothing there.
Sissy: OMG!! SERIOUSLY?? That book is very important to me.
Me: Oh, u said u lost it 2 days ago, so why didnt u come back yesterday or the day u lost it?
Sissy: When i lost it that time, i forgot to come back. And then yesterday i was too tired to come back. I was working part time you know.

Then , i was thinking, if the book was really important, no matter how tired u are, u sure come back and claim it wan ma right?

Me: Oh lidat I dont know wheres ur book lo. Normally we keep the lost things here *points to dustbin again* but u c, theres nothing here.
Sissy: OMG! Can u check the outlet again.
Me: (Omg! u idiot.. i say dont have means dont have la..) I checked dy. Dont have.
Sissy: *angry + shouting like a mad drama king* HOW CAN U ALL BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE??!!
Me: (Excuse me sissy pants, look whos the irresponsible one here?) Im sorry sir but if we find it, ill let u know. *Gives him a pen to write down his details*

And guess what, the idiot didnt even know what was the topic of the book.

Sissy:I forgot the tile of the book. "Asia sumthing sumthing" but its yellow in colour. So, u really dont know wheres the book?
Me: (Hell yeah i do. With DBKL). Nope, but if we find it ill let u know.

The convo above looks decent but at that time i was pissed cuz Mr Sissy was shouting the whole time. Dahla, he had a gay, annoying voice.

So, yeah. i guess the book was thrown out but watodo.. If u urself lost it, u cant go around calling other people irresponsible for not keeping the book for u right? Ur own belongings, u jaga urself la. And if it is found, you can thank ur lucky stars lo.. right?

I actually have nothing blog-worthy to post up.. Just seeing that my last post was in March makes me sad..haha.. How is it that there are so many things happening here n there in my life but I have nothing to post up? ~~probably because Im aware who reads my blog..>.<~~

Anyways, updates from uni, stress days are ahead I can feel it. The end of semester + the event planning stuff + 1000 tickets to sell + roadshow events to plan out..sigh..

I also had a 1 week holiday awhile back. Went to Genting with 6 peeps. I dont know if this is age related or what but hor, I just cant stand the some of the rides. hahah.. Dont get me wrong, im not afraid to get on the roller coasters or whatever but I'm more worried about the headache that I will have to endure after the ride..This headaches are not long tho- probably just like maybe 5 mins after the ride is over then its all gone.. Roller coasters are fine for me but rides like 'spinner'-where it just goes round n round n round and rides like 'pirate ship'-the ones that go back and forth are a big no-no. They are lame rides and not worth the headaches..hahaha.. Haih.. old liao la..

Also, this is my first time in Genting where i'm legally allowed to enter 'the casino'... I remember the last time i attempted to go in was when i was 16 with my friend Erny and we practically got shoo-ed by the guards at the front entrance..LOL.. This time I could go in without even an ID check.. haih..old liao la..!! hahaha..
Neways, thanks to Eugene, I got a speed tour around the casino and lost...............10 bucks at the slot machine..>.< Interesting environment but i pity those who work in the casino lah.. Especially the ones working as dealers at the black jack table or roulette table. Not sien meh? Everyday the same hand gestures and dealing with filthy rich old apeks.. haha..

So, we had dinner at Gohtong Jaya and had an unexpected one night stay at Genting Hotel as well for FREE. But imagine-no spare clothes, no toothbrush, no toothpaste, no facial wash.. Talk about random-ness and the geli-ness...LOL..

Also, during the hols, I went back to work at Coffee Beans for a few days. I have to say I enjoy working there lah. Dunno why eventhough the pay there is relatively low.. haha.. I love making coffee for people. I enjoy playing with the coffee machine. I love to see different antics of people everyday. I love to cuci my mata when I become cashier. =) I think i was meant to be in a customer service industry lah. Im so patient..hahaha..

I like chatting with the old mat salleh aunty's. They're the nicest people I tell you. And I like to be cheeky with some customers. I would say out their order even before they order. And they would look at me and go, "how did u know?" and I would reply "Haha.. Random guess" But actually, they came to the outlet several times already and for some reason I can recognize them and their order. Most of the times they stick to their old orders. And some customers wanna be cheeky with me asking irrelevant questions. But hey! two can play that game =)

And here's a secret. When u ask me how a cake on the display taste like, I dont really know! Cuz out of the 10 cakes displayed, I probably only tasted 2 of them. Why would I wanna waste my staff meal on those cakes? I rather have a real meal during my breaks or wait for that cake to be recorded as wastage to eat it. So, what do I do? I bullshit my way to make u convinced. haha.. evil i know. I'll just describe the taste on how the cake looks and should taste like by the name it comes with. hahah..

So yeah. There goes a blog post. So long!

I have to say that Ho Chi Minh city is...

EXTREMELY NOISY!!

Cause:

A gazillion motorbikes everywhere you turn. And they seriously.horn.non.stop.
Its also almost impossible to cross the roads there. You seriously need to master a skill to build confidence to cross the roads.. cuz those motorbikes aint gonna stop fer ya!!
And those motorbikes, not all the passengers on the motorbike will wear helmets, some sit sideways on the bike and the AVERAGE on a bike is 4!!
The ratio of motorbikes to cars are i think, 15:1

So, when we were in Vietnam, they were celebrating their New Year as well. But for them it was the year of the cat instead of rabbits..

I suppose "Chuc Mung Nam Moi" means happy New Year in Vietnamese cause it was on every building, every new year sign, every billboard...etc..etc..

So, lots of streets in the city were decorated with flowers, statues of cats and what not. People taking photo here and there. Very beautiful decorations but the weather was h.o.t!!

ps: I actually hate cats..haha..

This was at the Cu Chi Tunnels just before i had to do a long stretch of crawling and 'bengkok-ing' the body here and there in a dark and narrow tunnel.. It was hot, narrow, I was sweaty, I didnt know where i was going-Just had to follow the aunty's butt infront of me to guide my path..LOL.. As a result, THIGH PAIN the next few days making it damn annoying to climb up and down the staircase. haha..

Well, obviously the sign "Don't touch please" didnt mean anything to me.. Teehee..

The closest i could get in a country that was once colonized by the French-French Restaurant names and coffee houses/kopitiams that have french decor in them.
Btw, the baguettes in Vietnam are ABSOLUTELY delish. The "bread skin" are so crumbly and flaky and the bread is so so so soft..not like the ones we get in our Malaysian supermarkets. seriously. The Viets definitely learnt up an original grandmother baguette recipe from the French.

In Vung Tau. 3 hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. Its the "Gold Coast" of Vietnam. A whole stretch of sandy beaches that faces the South China Sea. Less honking on the road but still noisy, just less..LOL..
And yeah, they have those type of plastic armchairs all along the beach for you to sit on.

Happy 2011!!
This year i made no resolutions cuz i dun wanna face any unresolved resolutions.. hehe..
Last year my resolution was to have a resolution list which i ended up not having one. So even my resolution of having a resolution list cannot be fulfilled, what more making another unresolved resolution list. hahaha... tongue twister much?

Neways... I got a part time job~! Whee....
THAT seriously im proud of myself. Why? Cuz i always wanted a part time job during sem breaks but never took the initiative to really write up my resume(since its gonna be my first one ever and oh jot down whatever little experience that i have) or search for any vacancies. I always gave reasons like "Holiday i deserve to relax la..@Ill find a job if i stumble into one la..@I dont really know how to write a resume..@I dun think anyone wanna accept me..excuses.. excuses.. excuses"
All i did was talk talk talk but i never really walked the talk. So, this time I put all the talk into action! and tadaa.. after applying to 2 companies, I am now a proud part-time employee of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia =) (I think u can guess which other company i applied for lah..haha)

So hows my job? Duh-amm tiring but fun. Period. BUT it was also partly because i joined them towards the end of the school holidays + New Years day. So crowds at shopping malls at times like these are jam packed like sardines. Take for example, New Years Eve, seriously, from the bottom of my heart, the queue at Coffee Beans was like O.M.G!! like as though that was the day coffee was first invented. Worst, the queue started 1/2 hour before closing time. How not to geram tell me?
As a result, I got to experience a countdown atmosphere with fireworks going off outside Sunway Pyramid. Normally, times like these, the first thing in my mind is to avoid places like these, avoid the crowd, avoid the massive jam. But watodo... since i was working that day, got to face everything.. So yeah, good and bad. I got sprayed with soap foam and those coloured strings that come out from the can as well while walking to my car. Thank God I parked my car quite a distance away from the mall that day or else I would have been one of those sorry-ass cars who parked right outside the mall and had all the coloured strings and foam stucked to their car.

Neways, since the school holidays have ended and everyones back at their workplace, the crowd at the cafe is much more manageable and less tiring for me.. Whee...
Makes me feel much happier when i had for work..hahaa

Also, for the past last 3 days I was sent by my manager for Barista Training at the headquarters. I thought it was quite cool till I learnt that at the end of each training day, I had to take a quiz and made sure I pass it in order for me to earn a maroon shirt. Yeah cuz before this, I had to wear my own White shirt. So thanks to some of my senior colleagues who told me what to expect from the training and all. I went home and read the history of coffee beans from the website-believe it or not..hahaha...kia su mah!
So, this training was quite fun and confusing especially when it comes to learning up the exact measurements needed to make this and that drink.

June and me at the training room. We are the noobs from our outlet. haha.. She was there for 2 weeks plus already while it was my 6th day at Coffee Beans.. haha..

So,in a nutshell, YEAH!! I passed the barista training...!! so i earned my maroon shirt. (which puts RM 49 to waste cuz i purposely bought the white shirt for this work and only wore it for a week plus..LOL..)
So, yeah i finally know the difference of an Americano, Macchiato, Espresso, Cappuchino, Chai Latte, Cafe Latte, Tea Latte and can make all Coffee Beans' Ice Blended varieties etc etc etc...
BUT knowing all the steps doesnt mean Im a pro la.. The perfection of coffee making comes with alot of practice!!..and i believe as of today, my 6th day as a part timer and 1st day as an official part time barista-im no close to perfection yet. haha

And also, im happy that i have a tad more knowledge and understanding about coffee that i had last time in my diploma years. This is because, in my diploma years we had to learn some basic knowledge about espressos and other coffees and i didnt understand a thing about what i was learning. I just had to accept the facts as it is and memorize them for exams. But now, at least i understand ABIT more lah on what i was reading. =) Im still not an avid fan of coffee tho.. I still prefer tea =)

And also, because i scored full marks for my training quizzes, I got a free packet of House Blend coffee powder from the trainer.. (I bet u didnt expect that huh?? *wink)
Of course i was not the only one la.. 4 out of 14 got em free coffee powder =)

So, I have to admit, I always thought that Starbucks was a better company, the more original one. But boy was I wrong.
Just some facts for ya:
-Coffee Beans was actually here in Malaysia first. Starbucks entered later
-Coffee Beans is famous for their Ice Blended drinks and its a trademark. So if u go to Starbucks or Gloria Jeans, their ice blended drinks are not called as such-something else la

So, actually before I worked in CB, I always bought drinks from Starbucks, rarely from CB. And in Starbucks i always go for their Java Chip.. yumm....(Of course not always la... pokai eh.. like i think max 2-3 times a year oni la..hahahaha) But anyways, since I join CB, ive tasted all their ice blended drinks and i can honestly say, their drinks taste way better.. The taste is richer and creamier.

Next time u go to CB, try their Ice Blended Hazelnut/Ice Blended Caramel Blended-it puts ol' Java Chip to shame!! hahaha...

Alrighty just some really random updates from November..hehe..

In about precisely 2 weeks time, ill be graduating from higher diploma@2nd year of my degree..-Yeay-

Therefore, its crazy ass exam weeks coming up. So, God help me man.. *please dont let me get any FnB questions for my practical. P.L.E.A.S.E! Theres a reason why i chose marketing and management major-so that i dont see any fnb stuff coming up. I like learning general things about wines, beer, beverage and stuff but i really dont like them appearing in exam questions.. After all, we did not choose to major in that area! I dont see those who majored into culinary side getting a Rooms question!! =( And i really dont like it when theres 50-50% chance on whether u get a Rooms Division question or a FnB question. Its not fair!! People originally from the Marketing and Management major who got a Rooms question are bound to do better than those from the same major but ended up with a FnB question. grrr... *French people-abit ngong in the head, some wire loose somewhere-prolly left hanging at the top of Eiffel Tower *

Teehee!! I got this huge ass milk tea from Wong Kok for FREE cuz it was my birthday!! Basically its teh ais and I super love teh ais man.. Of course, I couldnt finish it la.. It was shared among 6 people and we still had a hard time finishing it.. hehe.. =)

This was the best we could do man, really we tried.

This was my friend, Diana's birthday cake which we celebrated!! Awesome cake aye?? (Comes with an awesome price too-hahaha) The appearance of the cake matches the price but the taste-not so much.. The taste of the icing sugar, OMG like eating plasticine.. Bleargh... Aitellu, this cake got so much attention from the restaurant when we brought it out. haha.. Some other customers from other tables in the restaurant handed a camera to the waiter and asked him to take a picture of the cake and asked the waiter to ask us where we got the cake and all =)haha.. And little kids in the restaurant also came near to have a look at the cake =) So for ur information people, this cake was bought from an online blog(I would have linked up the bakers blog address but the thing is I jotted down here that the taste is abit off-so i scared if the baker terjumpa this blog, her feelings offended..hahaha) Once we got the cake from the bakers house, we opened up the box to have a better look in the car and OMG, once the box was opened, the whiff that came from the cake gave us a headache man.. Can smell the sugar and the butter in it. Imagine how rich the cake was..!

Next, are some cooking activities that I have been up to. I havent made myself a meal in a long time cuz i find cooking ur own meal can be expensive. But anyways, i decided to lately, either to escape my time from studies or too inspired by all the cooking competition shows I have been watching lately-Masterchef, Topchef..haha But do note, i do feel that my cooking is for me only..haha.. For some reason i feel it wont taste good to others who might try it but to me, i love the taste. Weird, i know..hehe..

Ok, I know this dish looks like a garden on a plate. But the thing is, i was feeling bad for not eating veggies the past few days, so i decided to make up for it in this dish..hahaha.
Its pan fried dory fish. Sauce= butter + lemon juice + rosemary
Baked beans=err...from the can..LOL
Salad leaves with Baxter's Seafood Sauce

Ok, another garden dish suitable for a goat. Neways,this is pretty straight forward.
Butterhead lettuce + potatoes + tuna = weird combo?? haha..
How to eat? Wrap the lettuce with the tuna and stuff it in ur mouth..=)
Lasted me for two meals..hehe..

Ok, this is like proudest dish. What happened was, I was too lazy to go out. So i decided to open my fridge, see whats in it and whip up something. Seriously this is like the most original dish ever. I didnt even see any recipes online although im sure many have tried this dish before.
Sauteed Chicken (just seasoned with salt and pepper only)
Sauce: Garlic + Orange Juice + Lemon juice + Orange Zest + Pepper + Rosemary (all simmered and reduced...*ooh..i sound like a pro..ROFL*-but, really=))

Pretty straightforward...
Spaghetti + Prawns + Pregos traditional tomato sauce

Fettuccine in Instant Tom Yam soup.. Yea, i know Italian + Thai = Thalian?? hahaha
Soup=Instant Tom Yam paste + Squids + Fish fillets

And this is a facial mask which I made myself. Its a Passion fruit mask.
Pretty easy. Buy some Passion fruit + water and smash them up to make a paste and later strain them =)

My computer is coming back on Monday.. so yeay..
no more computerless days..

During my computerless days, i have

-watched alot LOT of shows on ASTRO, including the National Geographic, Discovery, TVIQ and History channels...yeah.. channels which i normally go to if i accidentaly pressed the wrong buttons on the remote..hahaha..

-Catched up on two movies, Grown Ups and Eat, Pray, Love...(Eat, Pray, Love totally sucks ass, i tell u!!)

-Packed up my study table

-Finished my assignments way before time.. Cuz normally Ill finish it the day before the assignment is due but with me being computerless, I have to rely on the comps at college where I had to stay back till 9pm on some weekdays to finish it..

So, being computerless.. Was it good or bad?? haha..

I had an embarrassing day today.. Ate my lunch at the mamak shop. When it was time to pay, I realised i forgot to bring my wallet(later i found out, it fell out from my bag and was in the car). Imagine the embarrassement I had to go through when i told the mamak guy, "Sorry boss.. i betul betul lupa bawa dompet saya. I akan balik dan bayar kamu. Promise!! Sorry boss!"
and he looked at me like a person whos trying to eat for free =(

and i was so energectic today after classes, that i decided to go to the gym only to be greeted by closed doors. (normally if i go gym straight after classes, i would power nap for like half an hour either in the car or in the gym before working out..hehe) I saw the notice about the gym going to be closed early because of a staff party on Wednesday when i was there but I totally forgot about it.. sigh.. There goes parking RM 1.50 for nothing. =(

Haha.. I was just browsing the website of The Biggest Loser Asia 2 in the evening today. (In case u didnt know, imma HUGE fan of the show..) I was at the contestants page where they described each contestant on the show and i was like omg, who was the editor of the website man?? There were so many spelling errors all over. There was even a part where they described the participant's name wrong in the whole paragraph..(what they did was they inserted the wrong name to describe the participant.. Their description led to the participant's sister instead of the participant itself-hard to explain what i mean la but yeah..LOL)

So, what i did was since i 'liked' their official facebook page, i posted up a comment on their wall saying.. "Has anyone checked out TBLA's official website? Get to the contestants page. Spot all the spelling mistakes especially xxx's page. Now, where is the editor? lol"

And then one hour later when i checked back, my post was deleted by the administrator..hahaha... My comment was Bad PR for the show i guess??

And then another hour later, i checked back TBLA's official website again and TADAAA.... the spelling mistakes were 99% corrected.. They still missed out some places here and there.. The name was also changed (where i said they had inserted the wrong name and all that)
hehehe... They should at least thank me right?? HAHAHA...

I realized ive been blogging less lately.. Im not sure why either.. No time?? or maybe i lost the "oomph" to blog.. hehe..
Well, besides having a bunch(ok, maybe just 1 particular one) of lousy lecturer's this term, things are pretty fine.. =) Exams?? *sigh* This term aint gonna be good. I can just feel it..
And time passes too fast.. I felt like i just graduated from diploma and BOOM in 2 months time (approximately 10 weeks time) Ill be graduating again from higher diploma..

Neways, September was a month full of birthdays.. I think too many people are born in September lah. (Blame New years day or maybe the eve-hahaha) I personally know 15 people whose birthday fall on September. (11 are worth wishing-if u know what I mean..lol)
So, pics below are all the birthdays we celebrated..
Result? Too much cake in one month. And they were all choco!! Better than I had expected but I'd rather go for plain ol vanilla or cheese anytime.. hehe.. =)

->. Kumar's Birthday.. Had it at Chong Qing Steamboat.. Was a surprise one and it worked!! Yeay!! Cake=Choco Mousse from RT Pastry House. I'd give it a 5/10..=)

-> Sabrina and Ah Hwei's Birthday. Had it at BBQ Plaza.. (Sorry gals..I didnt take much pics bacause there was another camera around but ze pics didnt make it to my hands..!)
This was supposed to be a surprise but it wasnt much of a surprise after all.. HAHAH.. Ah, but its the heart that counts right??lol..
Cake = Chocolate Cake from Bread Story. I'd give this a 7/10.

-> Erlyta's 21st birthday!! Had it at some Korean restaurant at a Korean Village at Ampang. Again, this was better than expected as I dont really fancy Korean Food. hehe..
Cake = Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe. Taste? I'd give it 9.5/10!! (this goes to show that Secret Recipe does really have some quality lah..haha) Plus this cake was a customized 2 dimensional cake!! lol..

We didnt manage to take a whole group picture that night.. what a waste eh?? everyone was just everywhere.. haha..

Yes, a 3 hour dinner caused us 1/2 a 1000 ringgit..haha.. But since there were so many people, after divide here, divide there, okla-not bad..-hahahah...!!

Neways, on a whole other level.. Bought this at Cold Storage the other day.

hehehe.... Just wanted to try try lah.. It was placed at the discounted items rack. All these items are either near expiry date/package a little damaged but still edible, so Cold Storage sell them cheap cheap lorr... I love checking out that rack cuz I love international stuff especially from ang moh countries but often find them ridiculously priced.. (I know la cuz its imported and all that)
So anyways, this soup was from RM 10.99 to RM 2.99.. Ok ma hoh?? Still expensive, but i really wanted to try it.. cuz i love broccollies and the packaging looked cool..hahaha It wasnt like the regular soup in a cup thing but but but something else lah that is cool..haha..
The taste? ok-okla... In marketing terms, actual performance = lower than expectation..
Or maybe i shouldnt complain since the item was expiring the day after I drank it.. >.<

Since then, I have successfully completed my Industrial Training (yeay!!) and was and still am on my holidays!! (Double yeay!!)

A few days after our training ended, the 4 of us-Me, Eugene, Kumar and Sabby headed down North for our much talked about holiday-hehe..

I was the driver most of the time...

This is at the Skybridge at Geopark. It is actually something like a hanging bridge. Again, the wind = Super awesome!! We had no one to take a pic for us as the acrophobics were at the starting point. Apparently, they said the bridge is very shaky and only supported by cables...HAHAHA!!!

Industrial training once again..

Just a mini update of moi..
Im currently undergoing my training(once again) at The Royale Bintang KL. Being right in the middle of Bukit Bintang, exiting the front entrance of the hotel at 6pm everyday, you'll get to see all the hanky panky, fishy stuff going on along the street particularly masseuses who squat along the sidewalks that seem to offer more than just massages..LOL
But luckily, theres another shortcut that leads to the lrt that allows us to bypass all those hanky pankies.. No more Tom, Dick and Harry popping up infront of us from nowhere asking us if we need a foot massage @.@ so yeay! hehe..

Newhos, training has been ok so far.. I was in the HR Department last week. Had a great time. I have total respect for the HR Manager. I feel that he shows what a HR Manager should be and act. Unlike previous hotels, where the HRM doesnt even know you exist or doesnt even lift a cheek muscle when you see them. Like c'mon, HR= HUMAN resource=Human RELATIONS!!
Currently in the sales and marketing department where the only marketing action i do is e-marketing@Facebook...HAHAHAH!!! I have a pc to myself at work and i facebook, blogsurf, check my emails the whole day till when i get back home, ive got nothing to check..LOL.
Next is Finance.. BAH! Not really looking forward to that but it is the last department before the training ends!! so yipee!!!!

Yeay..holidays are here once again..

Exams were just over *trying not to think about the outcome*
I dont think i did too bad =) neither did i do too good=(
My most geram paper right now is the Purchasing & Supply Management paper. I did a stupid mistake which will cost me 18 marks =( 18!!!! ONE EIGHT!!!!
All because i wrote 16/3=4 waaaa.....My maths problem are back to haunt me...*X(*
So this means all my other calculation steps dont count since the mistake i did was the first step..(at least if that calculation was nearly the last, I would get marks for the steps before that)
aih...
whatever lah.. lesson for me.

Newhos, im gonna enjoy this holiday kau kau... cuz after this starts the nightmares of WORKING LIFE... plus plus plus.....wait for it.... NO PAY!!!! *waaaaa..............*

So, college has been ok so far albeit some lects that are shitty as hell..(2 to be exact)
1 plonks he's butt down the chair from the start to end of the class and lectures.. and then he just blabs away.. non stop..not giving u time to digest what he just speed-talked.. and then later he laments that he is talking too much..
1 more talks to himself-ask him questions-he completely ignores u..its like ur not even there..
sigh.. how to take such people seriously?? If not interested to teach-DONT TEACH!!

Neways again, so, every once in a while, some of us try to escape from eating at the campus.. cuz its damn sien eventhough a few new stalls have just opened up.. I think im more sien of the crowd and the amount of people jam packed in the cafeteria.. Its so hot and damn hard to find tables to sit at :( And the risk of going out from college to eat??-Coming back and not being able to find parking spaces..o.O BUT i dun care-sometimes that risk pays off..LOL..

BOOYAH!! kk, i know ive been M.I.A but im M.I.A no more...at least for awhile..hehe..
My 3 weeks holiday is nearly ending.. sho shad:( I dont think i can hold a pen properly anymore..hehe..

Neways, during the hols, i played alot of Plants Vs Zombies. I seriously think this game is cute, cool sound effects, creative, fun and really needs strategy.. Thanks to ivan for this game man!! hehe.. I know alot of people at college are hooked to this game too..hehe.. But its seriously fun. Give it a try!!

Convinced my dad to try one round.. He didnt like it.. BAH!!

On New Years day, 1-1-2010, parents and I together with some family friends headed down to Haadyai, Thailand. It was my first time there cuz the only place ive been in Thailand before that was the Bangkok International Airport..hehe..

Lydia and me at the backseat.. This cute little girl is seriously talkative... Too bad i dont understand her yapping cuz it was either in Mandarin or her own baby talk.. I was the best listener she ever had...LOL..

This was at Lee Gardens supermarket.. So funny right how they sell their things.. Short stools like above are provided so shoppers can sit and browse at things..

Then we went to have ice cream at Swensens.. YUMM!!! and so much cheaper compared to Malaysia.. An item which i think in Msia would cost RM 14-16.90 only cost 89 Bahts (RM 8.90) in Thailand..-awesome-
And btw, i really liked the glasses they used to serve plain water. Cool right? And i did something really bad which ive never done in my life.. Well, practically it wasnt me but.....
What a shame, i study about this issue in Hospitality and Tourism Environment subject and lookie lookie... LOL.. If ur blur reading this part, i'll leave it just at that.. hehe..

Then next was the main destination, Klong-Hae floating market..

And there was like soooooooooooooooooooooooo many people there.. u really had to squeeze ur way through..

Basically, its a place to just makan all sorts of Thai snacks and their sold off sampans.. hence the name, "floating" market.. Interesting, really...
And the best part, EVERY ITEM there cost RM 2 (20 Bahts).. And for that amount, their quantity wasnt bad at all!!

My only greatest fear, with so many people crowding around u, i was so scared my handbag or orst still ME, fell into the river..LOL.. Cuz the platform for the tourist to walk is narrow and made out of planks of wood.

This was nice!! and SPICCCEEYYY!!!

Drinks were sold in Bamboos or clay bottles.. Also RM 2, and u get to take it home!!

Then at night, we had a nice tom yam dinner.. I liike...:D And out of nowhere an elephant appeared!! Apparently u can pay the man, he'll give u some foodstuff so that u can feed the elephant..haha.. Imagine, eating ur dinner and suddenly a stinking elephant appears beside u..rofl!

Then back home, i didnt do much either.. Sleep, squash, tv, eat, computer was basically my routine.. heheh...-holiday mah!!-

Made a homemade pizza.. okok, the dough base was bought but i did the toppings leh.. haha..!! sausages, onions, garlics, button mushromms, green capsicum, chicken lyoner, some herbs and parmesan cheese -yummy!!

And then i camwhored with the dog ALOT!!! till he got bored and fed up with me cuz i keep shouting at him to stay still..LOL..

SUNDAY (6.12.2009)

Went for 6pm mass @ Assumption Church PJ.. Mass ended at 6.50pm, came out to find my car window being broken and things ransacked..

Sigh, this year 2 things happen to my car already.. 1st the dent at the taylors car park by dunno who and 2nd this..

Nothing was taken cuz i dont leave any valuable things in my car at all.. But its just the 'ma-fan-ness' u know of getting the window fixed.. The first thing that crossed my mind was "shit! my cd's" (cuz u know the cd's in my car are all original ones) Well, they were all taken out from the dashboard but none was taken.. LOL-this thieves dont know good music..XD and then my car coin box was left open WITH THE COINS ALL STILL THERE... -high class thieves??-rofl...!!! So, yeah basically nothing was taken.. hehe..

I wasnt the only car that got hit.. One whole row of cars had their cars ransacked as well..
In case any of u wondering where i parked.. Just beside the main road, a few meters away from the roundabout, opposite Assunta Hospital.. so u c?? That place is not even in a secluded area.. Daring bastards..

MONDAY, TUESDAY WEDNESDAY -exam!!!

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON- Exam finished!!! YABADABA-DOO!!!!

After 2 weeks of irregular sleeping patterns, exam was finally over..So, right after that we went to pyramid and watched New Moon. Like OMG!!! i hate that movie!! But i never really liked Twillight in the first place.. I just watched the sequel to see how bad it was..haha..

How is Robert Pattinson hot?? He's such a fugly looking zombie.. So, i found it painfully annoying when his charater appeared, the whole freaking cinema audience literally went "ooooooo.....aaaaa.....woooooo" -bleargh... That Jacob guy is better although i seriously think he uses a teeth whitener.. He's teeth is just too white to be real!!
I really think the main aim of the show is just to show off the packs and the buffness of the actors.. Its so obvious in their acting..haih..
I think i enjoyed the popcorn more than the movie..LOL.

THURSDAY-ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS!!!

Like OMG!! Taylor's is sooo efficient..!! Couldnt they let us chill for a few days first?? Actually its because, the last few days of our exams were practical ones.. All the written ones we had it a week before.. So, i guess it was easier for them to tabulate our marks.
We also had our results announcement at the new Taylors Lakeside Campus.. It was HUGE.. But, i dont get why Taylor's was so eager to bring us there since the place was still under construction.. But we had it there anyway.. and that made us the first batch ever to step foot in that college.. Not bad huh?? I can see that next year, probably the first few weeks of college, all students will be late for class..(lecturers included). The campus is just so huge and there will be ALOT of walking.. LOL..

The building under construction(predicted to be ready by mid next year) that u see in the pic will be Taylors own mini boutique hotel.. So yeay!! Next year hospitality students will get to experince real hands-on practical on a real hotel.. Not bad huh??

These are the four French experts who were in their holiday mood way too early(lol) from France that came to see our performances during exams for the whole 2 weeks... The one in charge of my course is the lady-Mdm Claire. Shes known as the silent killer.. She will not interrupt u or anything while ur doing ur exam(practical/oral), but she will give comments to our examiner about us and her comments affects our marks.. She's like the head examiner from France lah in a way.. So, if u happen to do ur oral exam and she's there in the room with the lecturer, kantoi la!! (so, during exams, just pray lah that she wont be in the room that ur gonna do ur oral exam cuz she'll just sit there and observe u...) My luck?? Not too good!! She was in the same room anywhere i did my oral exams.. Maybe she likes me...-hahahahah-><

But must feel for him abit lah u know-its not his primary language.. It would be the same if we were to talk in French to him.. After we got our results.. I graduated with Very Honorable Pass.. So yeah, im satisfied..=D

So, after that some of us went to have a celebration of buffet steamboat dinner at Chong Qing Restaurant.. Nice:D It indeed was a nice and fun get together as some of us wont be seeing each other anymore..

haha.. ok i end this post with my FnB uniform which i took just before going for the final exam.. It was my last time wearing it.. As i said before, i seriously hated this subject to the max!! But woohoo!! i dun have to take it anymore next year when i do my degree:D

sO, yeap, that sums up what happened the last 5 days.. Im now on holiday till next mid January... Ive already started hibernating.. and more hibernation to come..LOL!!!

Well, my exam is partially over.. I dont think i did well on my practicals..ESPECIALLY the food and beverage practical!! but BAH- was my worst subject anyway.. So, we'll just let results do the talking lah huh..??
Anyways, one of the parts in the fnb exam is called upselling.. Its on a one-to-two basis where we are called up, given menus, two examiners will be acting as 'restaurant guest' and the student will play the role of a restaurant server.. And our job was to upsell the menu.

One of the examiners will actually be real people from the industry and sometimes i wonder whether they really know what they are talking.. *Dun wanna say which hotel my examiner was from, but i seriously think he has issues*

Nuthead: I wanna eat something Chinese.. So, what u recommend?

Me : Well sir, would you like to try our Hainanese Chicken rice? It is served with
fragant rice, cucumber slices and white chicken. It is also served with a very unique chilli sauce made out of ginger and garlic. You also have a choice to change ur white chicken to roasted chicken. The special thing about this dish is that the water used to cook the rice is taken from the chicken broth which makes the rice very fragant.

Nuthead: (with a scrunched up face) Why is the chicken white?

Me: Well...it is because of the method of cooking. The chicken is steamed and the colour of the chicken skin is white. (well, im not sure if i bullshitted here but this was what i said larh)

Nuthead: U know ah.. Everytime i think of white chicken, the chicken looks dead to me..

Me: *smiles* but in the head was like...-->????#@$%^**&*^%$#???

Like what type of question or statement is that?? What am i suppose to say... I SO WANTED to say "Well sir, i can assure you when the chicken is plated on the dish it sure will be dead, therefore ur right white chicken = dead"

So, just when i thought the night was over.. Wen Hwei and Sabby told me that they were following me back to my apartment to chill abit lah u know.. Sabby gave a reason that no one was at her home right now and Ah hwei said she wanted to take back her guitar which i borrowed last month.. So, I was like ok-whatever la u know..haha.. But...who knew they were all LIES LIES LIES...

Cuz once we got back they actually suprised me by saying my birthday wasnt over and i still had one more present lying around my apartment and i gotta find it.. haha... So, i did my little treasure hunt around d apartment, they dropped some hints and TADAAA!!!! Sitting in the wadrobe was...........................

A BIG BEAR BEAR with a cloth board hung around its neck!!! awwww..... On the board was a photo jigsaw puzzle of the three of us... awww...

and on the other side of the cloth board were little wishes/notes from them...awww...How sweet.. And that bear!! Haha.. Everytime we went Memory Lane or sumthing, me and ah hwei will give those big bears a hug and put it back on the shelves...hahaha!!! And just last week, our kitchen lect organized a trip for us to visit one of the Gardenia factories in Shah Alam. Not bad.. Better than what i expected.. Quite cool to see all the machineries involved to make a food product which u consume almost every single day. And from dough to bread, it is hardly handled by any humans.. Very very canggih..haha..

And the highlight of the trip?? When all of us gets a goodie bag of course..hehe..
We got 2 twiggies, a loaf of Butterscotch bread, a jagung bun, a butter toffee bun and squiggles..!! Yeay! hehe..

First and foremost, guess what??
Thanks to the Malaysian heat. (a phrase i dont think i ever thought i would say) I parked my car at the usual college car park where it is under the hot sun half the time. And guess what?? The dent on the car door POPPED OUT!! hahahaha!!! Funny or what?? So, now the car is dent-free but with a slight 'unsmooth' surface where the dent used to be.. Dont think it needs repair ady lo.. After all, it IS a car.. :D

Anyways, this week n last week was all about the dreadful assesments and assignments.. Went quite well i would say. We had presentations and role plays.. Sigh, the assignments are getting more n more creative.. more creative=more ma fan

My car got kissed today at the college carpark..

wtf right?? All this time i have stayed dent-free.. Got a shock when i saw my car at the carpark today.. Sigh... dunno whos the stupid bastard who doesnt know how to either park/unpark their car..

You may think, "Ala.. small dent oni". But then again, it is MY FIRST DENT!!

First of all,

Ok, so there was this English Writting Competition held in college that our English lecturer had encouraged us to enter. What we had to do was to take a photograph of anything we want and write just a very short paragraph about it. HONESTLY when i heard her saying that, i immediately thought of one of my blog postings which i did back in July 2008. Refer here for proof. At that time i wrote that post to enter an online blog competition sponsored by Apple Company. The rules were to write about any of your favourite Apple Products and so i did about the Apple i-Phone. :D Obviously i didnt win at that time..haha.. But it was just for fun la u know??
But because our lecturer told us about the competition on a week that the whole group was super stressed out. At that time(2 weeks ago) we had our event coming up, assignments, role play projects, etc..etc.. So, her offer was soon forgotten. And then, last week she asked if anyone wanted to hand in their work(no one did anything, of course) and that the due date was the day before but she was still accepting entries.. I once again got reminded of my blog posting which i did yonks ago. So, what i did that very night, went to the archives of my blog, copy and paste my post, edit here and there just a little bit and TADAAA... my essay entry was complete in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES..HAHA..
Of course, when i handed in my essay, I wasnt expecting much. I didnt exactly know the rules of the competition i was entering. I just literally posted a pic and wrote about it.. Later when i read the rules of the competiton posted sumwhere in coll, i realised that i had broken many. EX: size of the picture had to be, the font and spacing of lines i had to use,etc..etc.. So, automatically i thought my essay was DEFINATELY disqualified but then again i didnt really bother..haha..

But, who knew?? Lady Luck decided to leave me alone and not spit her spits on me... haha.. I may not have won the 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize, but this is definately the first time i ever got anything from college..(winning wise la) hehe.. And the best part?? It was totally like TOTALLY unexpected.. So the feeling that comes with it?? NICE.. :D

Essay Title: My Love is a 5-letter Word

Oh no!! It’s coming back! That intolerable craving. I have been wanting it so badly. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I know very well that it would be perfect for me in every way. It would fit heavenly onto the palms of my hand. I know that it was meant for me. I told myself, this is ‘the one’. Chatting has never been easier. With my love, I am not humiliated nor am I worried about my poor grammar mistakes which I do make sometimes. Instead, suggestions are made to improve it. How wonderful! I even look better when we are together. The brightness and sharpness it draws out from me when I snap pictures with it amazes me. I didn’t know my features had so much to offer. And with a little pinch, drag and tap, the whole world can share my joy. When I am in mood for my all time remedy, songs, it is just a tap away.
There are many other things that make me attracted to my love but this is all I need to fall in love with the one and only…

APPLE i-phone. What were you thinking?

the last few weeks..

This last few weeks has been pretty hectic for me :(
like seriously..
Busy with upcoming assignments, projects, college event.. *pheewh*
the load keeps piling up..

Anyways this was what i was doing this last few weeks:

Well above isnt exectly an important event..haha.. juz a nice pic that we took in the girls toilet..

Then it was sis' holiday in Malaysia.. Although she went back like nearly 2 weeks ago but this post rather late than never eh?? hehe..
Well, i had fun having her here:D We fought less(almost hardly). Maybe its me lah. More tolerant..ahaha!! (i bet she's going.. "OBJECTION" right now :p)

We ate one of the many dinners together at Bubba Gump Shrimp. Food ok-ok ny la but i really liked the interior of the restaurant. Love the drink menu idea above:on a ping-pong bat. Like how Forrest Gump was a champion in that game.

And this was the Margarita we shared at Las Caretas Taipan. Mexican food. Nice. The bill made a small tear in Papa's wallet.. HAHAHAHA!!

The Lim's and Chua's farewell dinner we had for sis.. 8 course dinner. (as usual)

Next was my college event. A witchcraft and wizardry themed event: MidSummers Muggles Feast. I was the Marketing Director so the only thing on my mind the past few weeks was PROMOTION!! GUEST!! PROMOTION!! MORE GUEST!!
But kudos to the team, we did manage to reach our aim of 80 people!! woohoo..!!

The hardwork done to do the tickets!! yeah, just the tickets. But im glad many liked it. It was a normal ticket(paper) and a small miniature broom stuck to it. Made the miniature brooms using lidi sticks and cloth paper. Am glad that many guest like it and kept it as souveniers.
